Alex Shahabe's entrepreneurial spirit emerged when he was only 14 years old and launched his first business – selling tennis strings and services to local tennis clubs in Germany. After moving to the U.S. in 1992 to attend college and play tennis, Alex started a tennis court resurfacing and court equipment company where he successfully became one of the youngest business entrepreneurs in the field.
From his garage, Alex founded PC Housing in 1998 shortly after graduating with a business degree from the University of San Diego. After seeing many international students travel to San Diego for 3- 4 months to learn English with limited housing options, Alex formed his first corporate client partnership with UCSD, and began renting students furnished apartment homes, which also opened the opportunity for Alex to launch Signature Furniture Rental, operating in the Southern California market.
Known as a visionary leader, passionate family man, and a pioneer in the corporate housing industry. Alex's entrepreneurial spirit continues to enhance the PC Housing model of doing business with integrity and transparency. He is driven by service excellence and honors all business relationships and opportunities.
Alex is an intelligent and innovative thinker who engages with his team and built a culture of trust, continued improvement and engagement. To his credit PC Housing is recognized as one of "America's Fastest Growing 500 Companies" by Entrepreneur Magazine, and more recently, made the prestigious list as "Best Places to Work in San Diego."
The sum of Alex is, leadership is not a position or a title, but an action and example and is measured by the company’s success and employee’s happiness. Alex is active throughout several social and community charities throughout greater San Diego.
