Let’s be honest, the prospect of working out is usually not something that gets you pumped. Getting through it, however, most certainly does have that effect. That’s the ultimate paradox of physical fitness – in order to stay energized and in-shape, we must be willing to exhaust ourselves on a regular basis. But travel, as you know, could be a drag, which only makes the idea of a work out more daunting. Here are 5 absolutely incredible workouts to get you over the hump and through your day job while traveling. You might even look forward to these exercises!

- Cardio, otherwise known as aerobic exercise, is one of the most amazing workouts you can get either at home or while traveling. It can be performed at high or low intensity, although either option is a great way to generate a bit of energy after a 9-hour flight or a super long meeting. Depending on your climate and/or location, you can also try distance running, swimming, hiking or walking.
- Pilates are another amazing way to stay in shape. The body conditioning exercise is designed to build flexibility, muscle strength, and endurance in your entire body while placing special emphasis on your core. And since you don’t need any equipment, except an optional towel or exercise matt, it’s the perfect workout for anyone, anywhere.
- Yoga is one of the most popular fitness options around the world. Why? Because it works to balance the physical, spiritual and mental aspects of ourselves. It originated in ancient India and has since then been proven to improve our musculo-skeletal and mental health. Much like Pilates, it doesn’t require any special equipment making it a great option for anyone on the go.
- Dance is one of the best ways to stay in shape and have fun doing it. Simply moving around, on the dance floor after a particularly difficult word day, or in the privacy of your hotel room early in the wee hours of early morning, it gets you going and makes you stronger. For an amazing body, combine killer dance moves with dynamic stretches.
- Stretching, in and of itself is an amazingly great way to wake up your organs, get the blood flowing, and relax the mind while energizing the body. You don’t always have to kill it at the gym to get a good workout. Getting in just 20 minutes of stretching in your room will boost the rest of your day.
